Easy life changes can help make big progress!
If you find it difficult to make the drastic lifestyle changes or you aren’t quite ready to join a weight loss program, try a few of these smaller, yet very effective, weight loss tips. Small changes in your day can make big progress on the scale.
- Eat prior to a grocery store visit, never grocery shop while you’re hungry
- Stop eating by 7:00 pm every night
- Avoid drive thru restaurants and/or fast food
- Stay within 20 feet of the grocery store’s exterior walls during your visit, this is where the healthier foods tend to be kept
- Stick to only one serving per meal
- Consume a surplus of fiber
- Learn how to cook healthier meals & have vegetables with every meal
- Eliminate soda and/or sugary drinks
- Do not eat or snack while you are bored
- Never eat & watch T.V. at the same time
- Consume twice as much water as you already do
- Exercise to improve your health, not to be able to eat more
- Turn off the T.V. & video games, limit your “screen time” to a couple hours a day
- Declutter your home & office space
- Get adequate sleep every night
- Weigh yourself daily
- Try standing and/or using a standing desk at work and home
- Take your lengthy phone calls for a walk
- Avoid sitting for longer than 15 – 30 minutes at a time
